Copyright Law
All written text, images, and designs are protected by U.S. Copyright Law. Title 17 U.S.C. Section 101 et seq., Title 18 U.S.C. Section 2319.
Copyright law is simple. If you didn't write it. You can't use it. And the only time you can use material you didn't write is
if you get written permission from the owner of that material.
Copyright law protects the originating owner of many works: written words, images, song lyrics, musical notes, videos,
audios, and more.
Copyright laws exist to protect writers of all genres. The moment one takes his or her intellectual thoughts and puts them
down in concrete form (i.e. paper, website, disk, computer ram, etc.), those thoughts (or written works) become copyrighted
and protected under copyright law. Many writers further protect themselves by having their works sent to the United States
copyright office.
Copyright infringement is a very serious issue and punishable by law. It can be punishable by a fine of up to $150,000
per act, plus attorney and court fees—for the plaintiff. In fact, new laws are going into place to make it a FELONY.
Please respect the rights of the publisher, editor, freelance writers, and authors enough to NOT steal their work, reprint
it without permission, or pass it off as your own.

The Dabbling Mum routinely checks the web and is often notified by loyal readers of any copyright infringements. If our intellectual
property, otherwise known as content, is stolen we will take the following steps to resolve the situation immediately:
-
Print out, or save to disk, a copy of the offending material.
- Notify the offender and request the content be removed immediately.
- Check to verify the content was properly removed.
- If the material is not removed, we'll contact the site's web host for assistance.
- We'll once again check to verify the content was properly removed.
- If the offender refuses to cooperate, we'll have no choice but to get our lawyer involved.
The above also holds true for stolen images, graphics, coding, etc.
We hope you will help us fight copyright infringement. Many thanks.
