Donate Your Used Cellular Phone
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, 130 million cellular phones were put out of commission in 2005—all of which
contain metals (like mercury) and materials (like lead) that are hazardous to both human beings and the environment in which we live.
Prostate Cancer Foundation helps raise funds for cancer research. Special Olympics of Wisconsin helps fund sports training and competitions for those with cognitive disabilities. The March Of Dimes helps continue research to stop premature births. The Race To Recycle helps raise funds for local schools. The Wireless Foundation helps domestically abused families stay protected. Before you donate that cellular phone make sure you erase all personal data so that your important and personal information doesn’t end up in the hands of the wrong person. To erase (or delete) information off your cell phone, you can contact your cell phone carrier for more information or you can visit Wireless Recylcing’s free data erase site at WirelessRecycling.com.
