Pocket Snails: Aquaphonic Adventure
Pocket Snails Aquaphonic Adventure is a no-frills cartoon geared towards helping children concentrate on what’s important and
that’s the different sounds of the alphabet. But it’s not without its charm.
There are three snails and they live in the pocket of their owner, Jake. Jake is having difficulty reading so the pocket snails set out
on an adventure to Phonic Island to come up with ways to help make it easier for Jake to learn to read. Along the way, the snails
discover underwater life that starts with the sounds of every letter in the alphabet, so they take pictures of everything they see and
bring those pictures back to Jake.
The music is entertaining and upbeat. The lyrics are fun, easy to remember, and worth repeating. The cartoon is cute, slow paced, but
fast enough to keep your attention, and each image is accompanied by the actual word of that image. Some of the words may seem rather
long when trying to teach a toddler to read, like jellyfish, but you have to remember that children can learn by sight just as easily
as they can by phonics.
I highly recommend this video for home daycares, pre-schools, and homeschooling parents. It’s just what children need to help them
improve their reading skills as it helps children learn to recognize letters, practice the sounds of each letter, and improves word
recognition.

Pocket Snails: Letter Adventure
Pocket Snails Letter Adventure is a no-frills cartoon geared towards helping children concentrate on learning the different
letters of the alphabet.
There are three snails and they live in the pocket of their owner, Jake. Jake is learning to read so the pocket snails set out on an
adventure to Letterland to come up with ways to help make it easier for Jake to learn to read. Along the way, the snails discover every
letter of the alphabet, standing tall on hills, in valleys, and throughout Letterland. They decide to pose with each letter and bring
those pictures back to Jake to help with letter recognition.
The music is entertaining and upbeat, but in no way distracts from the main purpose of the cartoon and that’s to teach the alphabet. The
cartoon moves along at a nice pace and since the letters are discovered in groups of five, repeating them is easy.
I highly recommend this video for home daycares, pre-schools, and homeschooling parents. It’s just what children need to help them
remember the different letters of the alphabet.
