Title
Tot-a-Doodle-Do School, 2006
Are you tired of Mr. Rogers reruns? Then you’ll love the Tot-a-Doodle-Do! series. Created and produced by Heidi Neihart, the Tot-a-Doodle-Do! series is designed to captivate the imagination and attention of toddlers while helping them improve their fine and gross motor skills, cognitive skills, and more!
Each video in the series in only thirty minutes long—perfect for the short attention spans of toddlers—and comes with six interactive segments. Segments like:
- Craft Time
Discover how to make a themed craft.
- Imagination Station
Discover what it's like to use your imagination.
- On Our Block
Meet someone related to the theme of each segment.
- Hop N Bop
Get active. Dance your way towards fun.
- Super Snack
Hungry yet? Lets make a themed snack.
- Molly Manners
Discover how you should act.
In this particular segment, children learn to make play dough, pantomime, meet a teacher, sing and dance to a school themed song, learn to make pinwheel sandwiches, and discover what types of manners are necessary during school.
I found this segment very fun, education, and enlightening!
The actors are top notch, the colors are vibrant and inviting, the songs are easy to memorize, the activities don’t cause havoc in the household, and let’s face it…you can only watch so many reruns of Mr. Rogers before you start thinking, “Aren’t they ever going to update that set to fit the modern world?”
