Review
My daughter and I loved watching Cory’s character in Disney’s “That’s So Raven” so we were excited to discover this spin off. However, I
am a bit disappointed that the mother, who was a stabilizing factor in “That’s So Raven” and the Baxter household isn’t a part of the
new series. It’s also disheartening to find that she’s rarely mentioned, considering the fact that the couple is still married—just
temporarily separated as Cory’s mother concentrates on law school back home. That little nuance aside, the show’s a complete hit.
Cory In The House could have easily been called, The Misadventures of Cory Baxter since the show centers around Cory and his many
antics—antics that cause chaos in the White House and the lives of the Baxters.
In Never The Dwayne Shall Meet, Cory manages to lock everyone in the closet just when the President is to meet The Rock and discuss
endorsing a fitness program. In That’s So In The House, Raven guest stars in hopes of winning a uniform design contract but ends up
scaring the President instead. In Air Force One Too Many, Cory accidentally gives Alaska to the Russian government and hides on Air
Force one in hopes of stealing it back. And in Just Desserts, Cory’s scheme to start a dessert business backfires when the sauce causes
the desserts to explode!
Your Task
Enjoy Cory In The House over a dinner of pizza, salad, and drinks. Laugh until you can’t laugh anymore. Then talk to your kids about
proper etiquette. How should one act when a guest in another’s home? What’s the right way to meet and greet someone of such social
status? And when can one go from formal etiquette to friends etiquette?
